is the founder
of Nurture Healing Center and also a
Massage Therapist. Nichole graduated
with Honors from Ashmead College in 2005
and was the Key note speaker at her
graduation where she was handed down the
nickname "Bossy McPushy Pants" from one
of her most beloved instructors Erin
Murphy, (who had previously had the
title).
She was
accepted into the internship at Tacoma
General Hospital in late 2005, where she
gained the wisdom of working with
various clients with an assortment of
ailments and injuries. Before she
graduated she was already taking
continuing education and giving back by
tutoring other students and being an
assistant in classrooms.
After
graduation she continued this trend by
becoming a Tester and Tutor to students
in and out of Ashmead. She has
certifications in Quick Release
techniques, Medical Neck Work, & Hot
Stone Therapy. Her training consisted of
over 800 hours in college and hundreds
of hours of continued education
afterwards, along with thousands of
hours of hands on therapeutic work.
She has a huge
love for learning and encouraging
continual growth in herself and those
around her. She is currently working on
a post graduate mentorship program to
help further facilitate the gap in
between massage college and the massage
field. Her belief about massage is that
it touches one piece of who we are,
being our physical body, but somehow
also enables the person receiving
massage to tap into a reservoir of other
healing possibilities within. |

graduated from Bastyr University in
North Seattle with a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental
Medicine. She is a licensed Acupuncturist (EAMP, LAC) with
the State of Washington and is NCCAOM board certified. While
attending Bastyr, Ann treated many patients in a variety of
settings, including Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and
several community low-income clinics around the city. Ann
has found a depth and complexity that she treasures in the
practice of this medicine. Her studies consisted of
supervised clinical training over the course of three and a
half years in which she provided both acupuncture treatments
and Chinese Herbal consultations. Ann was fortunate enough
to spend the last three months of her studies in China.
There she finished her clinical education observing
physicians at Shanghai’s Shu Guang Hospital and attending
seminars. She considers the time that she spent in China
invaluable to her development as a practitioner. Ann believes that it is important to respect each patient as
an individual and design a treatment plan that works for
them. She thinks that it is imperative that patients
understand their treatment and thinks that an important part
of her job is education. Ann believes in the elegance of
simple, gentle acupuncture treatments. She strives to ensure
that patients find her treatments both effective and
relaxing. To this end, Ann has additional training in
massage and acutonics. Depending upon the patient and what
is indicated, she often uses a mixture of treatment styles. When Ann is not in the clinic, she enjoys riding her bike,
gardening and playing with her two dogs. For more information about Acupuncture, Ann or her practice,

graduated from Ashmead School of
Massage 2006. He specializes in injury treatment and stress
reduction. Duane combines a number of modalities such deep
tissue and Manual Ligament Therapy to achieve amazing
bodywork results. Improving range of motion and reducing
pain is Duane’s specialty. His true start in massage began at the age of fourteen when
his mother was diagnosed with MS. Being able to comfort her
in her time of need inspired him to help others. After
fifteen years as an EMT/ER technician, Duane decided to
switch gears and went back to school for massage. Duane’s number one joy is spending time with his wife Kate
and kids Dharma and Marley. He loves the outdoors and tries
to spend as much time outside as possible -- everything from
gardening to hitting the high trails. Duane has been practicing massage and bodywork in Tacoma
since 2007. His peaceful demeanor and high skill set make
him a great choice for confidence and reliability in a
massage/bodyworker. Be sure to stop by and schedule some
time. |

an Oregon native who has called
Tacoma his home for nearly 15 years, received his degree in
Massage Therapy from Everest College. He practices massage with an emphasis on listening, and
intuitively responding, to the specific needs of the
individual’s body in a safe and hospitable environment. Working from a large palette of massage modalities,
relaxation and wellness are mutually achieved by
interspersing and incorporating variations of Deep Tissue,
Medical Treatment, Shiatsu and Swedish bodywork techniques. An active member in the creative arts community, Aaron aims
his practice toward rejuvenation that frees the individual
to live more fully in their home, work, and broader
community. Aaron strongly believes that personal fulfillment
is affected by our ability to give, to ourselves and to
those around us. “If you judge people, you have no time to love them.”
